CERSAIE 2019, NATURE AND NEW TRENDS

Innovative ideas for porcelain stoneware, marble effect and rustrial style are among the novelties on offer.

A glimpse of what we will soon be seeing in our showroom.

Looking to the future and giving you a preview. This is one of the principles on which our work is based, always aiming to discover new products and offer them to architects, interior designers, planners and private individuals.

We are in constant direct contact with the most prestigious Italian companies in the field of bathroom furnishings, ceramics, indoor and outdoor coverings. A contact that is increasingly close, especially on occasions such as the Salone del Mobile in Milan (here is the story of our experience) or CERSAIE 2019, which we attended at the end of September.

We chose to spend a few days at the Bologna Fair to experience one of the most important events in the world for our sector. And you will soon be able to see many of the innovations for yourself in our showroom.

But we would like to give you some previews already.

Ecological choices predominated at CERSAIE 2019. An inspiration that we find both in the production processes and in the textures that pay homage to nature.

Among the many novelties, we also encountered some confirmations. Among these is the spread of porcelain stoneware (here are some ideas on how to use it). A product which in recent years has set the style trends for floors and walls, but which is about to experience new stylistic experiments. Today it is increasingly inspired by natural stone, but it also lends itself to new details that give it a whole new light. We are talking about contemporary geometries made up of striking colours and essential decor, unpredictable patterns and a dynamism that completely redesigns the space.

The ideas coming from the furniture sector are also fundamental. One of the great innovations is a new form of furniture that combines rustic and industrial styles: rustrial. Let’s get to know this new term because soon everyone will be talking about it.

Rustrial was born from the union of a “colder” style and a very “warm” one, resulting in a winning balance. Imagine, for example, the beauty of the combination of iron and warm wood. A surprising result.

Our curiosity was directed above all towards the brands we have chosen for you. Each of them proposed new and fascinating ideas.

With ABK, for example, we were able to confirm that the marble effect is one of the new trends. Contrasting veining, crystallisation and precious textures typical of natural quartz are the stylistic features of the Sensi Gems series. Available in four varieties (both polished and satin versions), it is suitable for all areas of the home: from the living room to the kitchen to the bathroom and wellness area.
We can imagine it in the fireplace area in the large Titanium Black slabs version, while in the Blend Concrete Grey Combo version, the collection launches itself into floor textures where cement coexists with triangular fragments of marble and polychrome seminato inserts.

Staying in the world of marble, you will be fascinated by Emperador, the range proposed by FMG’s Maxfine Marmi. The warm brown hues with cream and hazelnut veins are enhanced in the large slab version. With their 6 mm thickness, they are perfect for horizontal and vertical cladding. Ideal as flooring, we can also imagine them for partitions, doors, kitchen and bathroom tops.

FMG has also proposed the Blast collection, inspired by volcanic rock and reproducing its irregular structure. The surface is characterised by overlapping colours with tone-on-tone mottling. Available in three different finishes (natural, polished and textured) with a thickness of 10 mm and in 5 different colours, it is perfect for total look environments.

The new proposal by Mutina, on the other hand, moves between black and white. It is called Chymia and is the result of collaboration with Laboratorio Avallone. Between graphics and gestures, the collection moves between the two extremes of black and white, combining textures and materials that trace light and shadow on the surface. The two chromatic dimensions, however, are never separated from each other.

Finally, we would like to mention Ceramiche Castelvetro, which presented the new Cementine, Rustic and Rock collections at Cersaie 2019. Cementine is a dynamic and innovative proposal, suitable for those who want to compose a single design but also for those who know how to dare by putting together different designs. Rustic is a collection inspired by nature and designed to give rooms a warm and welcoming look. Rock, on the other hand, with its marble-effect veining, is suitable if you want to create an elegant, modern and minimalist environment.
